Is it better to walk before or after you eat?

Pre-Breakfast Walk Burns More Fat

To maximize the fat-burning impact of a walk, I recommend you do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Before you eat breakfast, your insulin levels are low and a 20-minute morning walk will have the most powerful fat-burning effect. Keep the intensity up to get even more out of it -- but don?t overdo it! You should still be able to have a conversation while walking, though It should be challenging to talk. If you aren't able walk in the morning, I recommend that you schedule your evening walk when it works best for you. If you think you will be more committed to walking before dinner, do it then. The most important thing is to get your walk in, so make it a priority and plan it for when you'll have the fewest distractions.
